Clothing Solutions for Disabled People is a registered charity based in West Yorkshire. We are a unique service that alters and creates bespoke clothing for disabled people to establish a better quality of life.
We offer a comprehensive clothing service to people who, for reasons of shape, size, proportion, mobility difficulties or learning disabilities, find it difficult to source appropriate and affordable clothing from retail outlets. Our made to measure garments or alterations to an existing garment aim to meet the specific needs of the individual.
Where made to measure garments are required each customer will be consulted on design, colour and fabric choice. Measurements are taken and each garment fitted if necessary before completion. A postal service is available, as well as telephone and email consultations for those who live further away from the service.

- Simon visits a Bradford-based care home during the day. However, he likes to wear sleepsuits as they’re the most comfortable garment for him. His key worker, Leslie, says: “Simon is very particular about what he wears. Comfort is a priority when it comes to dressing him, as he spends a lot of time in the same position. It’s great that we have a service like Clothing Solutions, who not only create clothing for disabled and elderly people, but also visit the customer at home to get a real sense of what they want. They’re brilliant.”
- Freddy lives in London, and has only contacted Clothing Solutions via telephone. He approached the charity, looking to have some shirts adapted but wasn’t sure what the solution was. We suggested switching his shirt buttons for Velcro, to make dressing easier. He loved this idea and went ahead with his order. Freddy notes that he visited many other organisations across the country, but not one had the ideas Clothing Solutions had. Once his newly adapted shirt, Freddy was so happy he sent six more to be altered, along with two pairs of jeans – now his outfit is complete!
